Marla Buitrago Rincon is a former Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Jodi Lee Alper, Presiding Judge for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, General Equity Part, Essex Vicinage. She is a 2020 graduate of Rutgers Law School - Newark. During her time at Rutgers, Marla worked as a research assistant to the former Co-Dean of Rutgers Law School, David Lopez, and was also one of the founding members and Senior Articles Editor of the Rutgers International Law and Human Rights Journal. Marla is a 2017 magna cum laude graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University where she double majored in political science and economics and served as President of the FDU Mock Trial Team. At graduation, she received the Outstanding Achievement Awards in both legal studies and advocacy and political science. Prior to her clerkship, Marla interned in the Chancery Division, and worked as a law clerk and summer associate at various firms in New Jersey and New York in both State and Federal Court litigation.
